This course teaches Azure Solution Architects how to design infrastructure solutions. Course topics cover governance, compute, application architecture, storage, data integration, authentication, networks, business continuity, and migrations. The course combines lecture with case studies to demonstrate basic architect design principles.

This course is ideal for IT professionals with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in administering and operating complex IT infrastructure solutions. Participants should include professionals working with Windows Server, Active Directory, and other IT resources, as well as professionals looking to learn how to architect, design, and deploy services in Microsoft Azure. Participants should also have some exposure to Azure, familiar with basic technologies, including virtualization, networking, storage, security, and the Microsoft software solutions.

We recommend that attendees of this course have previous experience deploying or administering Azure resources and strong conceptual knowledge of:

• Azure Active Directory
• Azure compute technologies such as VMs, containers and serverless solutions
• Azure virtual networking to include load balancers
• Azure Storage technologies (unstructured and databases)
• General application design concepts such as messaging and high availability

📌 Course objectives

 

This course helps individuals to gain the skills and knowledge needed to design solutions that run on Microsoft Azure. At the conclusion of this training, learners will have the ability to understand core Azure technologies in order to design effective architectures. Next, they will be able to identify appropriate technologies for business and technical requirements for Azure solutions and make differences between IaaS, Paas, & SaaS. Also, they will be able to design & deploy a virtual network in Microsoft Azure, design & configure storage solutions, analyze & configure Azure compute appropriate for requirements, design & implement an application infrastructure, plan & implement an azure cost management strategy; develop & deploy Azure Cloud services, and design & deploy ARM (Azure Resource Manager) templates.
