This highly interactive 1/2 day (17.00-21.00 CET) interactive and engaging workshop will be delivered by Ilija Popjanev, a Management 3.0 facilitator with deep business experience and knowledge. He is helping leaders to improve performance and achieve measurable organizational results.

The program is hands-on, practical, and full of tools and methods to use in your own work. In the program, you will be working with a group of 3-4 people, doing Agile exercises in a fast-paced engaging learning environment. Our training is designed by Certified Training from the Back of the Room Trainers using research-backed brain-based adult learning techniques.

The training takes place in an interactive and multimedia format: we personally control the course of the lesson and try to use all types of information (text, illustrations, videos), which allows us to structure and remember the knowledge gained. The theory is consolidated with practical exercises, working in small groups on each module. Practical lessons “Coach practice” and sessions in the format of supervision. On top of everything, we work both in pairs and in small groups.

Kanban and Lean Workshop Overview 

Scrum is great, but it doesn’t work in all situations.

For example, we might have to respond to requests within days, or even hours. Or we simply cannot make sensible commitments for even a week. Kanban provides a great alternative approach. Instead of Sprints, the control focuses on individual “stories” and manages the flow through the team. But even Kanban isn’t without its challenges.

In this workshop, we will:

Introduce Toyota Production System, Lean, and Lean Software Development, to understand where Kanban comes from

Learn the fundaments of the Kanban Method, and how to run the Kanban board

Compare Scrum and Kanban, to understand the differences in finer detail and to be able to make more informed choice between the two

Discuss how to avoid the “waterfall Kanban”, or create it when we specifically want that approach

Discuss how to combine the two approaches when we want aspects of both in our work, or even use them side-by-side for different types of work

This workshop provides valuable information for every Scrum Master. It is also useful for PO and team members in using the approach for managing their product development work.
